Use scale without guessing

A high treatment can change the perceived proportion of a wall, but visual intent does not produce the order length. Keep ceiling height, attachment-point height, floor drop, and finished panel length as separate measurements.

Compare one-foot increments

The jump from 96 to 108 inches and from 108 to 120 inches is 12 inches (30.5 cm). That is too large to treat as a minor label difference; calculate the actual surplus or shortage for each option.

Account for the heading
