Shower Curtain Size Calculator

Calculate curtain and liner width and length for a measured tub or stall. Results update as you type and all assumptions stay visible.

Measured curtain and liner size

For a curved rod, measure along the installed curve whenever possible. The percentage is only an editable planning allowance.

Measure the actual enclosure and verify both curtain and liner dimensions; 72 × 72 in is a retail convention, not a guaranteed fit.

METHOD

How the calculation works

Curtain width equals the measured rod path plus desired overlap at both sides. For a curved rod, the best input is a direct path measurement; the optional percentage is only a visible planning assumption.

Curtain length equals rod height minus the desired lower clearance. The tool then finds a common ready-made example that is at least as large as the calculated target.

The curtain and liner should both be checked because they can have different finished dimensions.

Estimate, then verify

Measure the actual window and selected product. Manufacturer dimensions, heading systems, fabric behavior, and pattern matching can change the result. These tools do not determine hardware strength, fixings, or a guaranteed fit.

What this page is based on

Measurements here combine mathematical results with labeled commercial conventions and design recommendations. Disagreements are kept as ranges rather than averaged into a false standard.
