Curtain Width Calculator

Calculate total curtain width and width per panel from rod width, fullness, and panel count. Results update as you type and all assumptions stay visible.

LIVE FULLNESS PLAN

Flat fabric width from finished coverage

Source-backed planning range for Grommet / eyelet: 1.5×–2×. Tape, carriers, hooks, and workroom specifications can override it.

METHOD

How the calculation works

Fullness is total flat fabric width divided by finished coverage width. The result is split evenly across the selected number of panels.

Heading presets provide editable planning ranges from published manufacturer and retailer guidance. Proprietary wave or ripple-fold products must use the exact carrier, tape, and pocket-factor chart.

The visual effect still depends on fabric body, lining, and stack-back, so the highest ratio is not automatically the best choice.

Estimate, then verify

Measure the actual window and selected product. Manufacturer dimensions, heading systems, fabric behavior, and pattern matching can change the result. These tools do not determine hardware strength, fixings, or a guaranteed fit.
